Regrettably, with an the diplomatic efforts exhausted, NATO finally took military action against Yugoslavia (see Fragile Peace in Kosovo, April, p4) on Wednesday, March 24. US Special Envoy Richard Holbrooke made a last-ditch attempt to secure peace when he met with Serbian President Slobodan Milosevic in Belgrade on March 22, but an agreement could not be reached and two days later the NATO air raids commenced.
NATO has amassed a huge armada of aircraft in Italy. Many of them were initially grouped there as part of Operation Deliberate Forge in support of United Nations Security Council Resolution 1199 (passed on

Director Neill Blomkamp’s latest (and bigger-budgeted) action thriller after sci-fi sleeper hit District 9. In the year 2159, the polarization of classes is made distinct by Elysium, a space station where the wealthy frolic in paradise, capable of ridding themselves of illnesses like cancer—all while sipping futuristic margaritas. Max (Damon) takes on a mission to overthrow the powers that be, risking his life to give poor people a shot at luxury.
Never mind that washed-up comedian Dane Cook voices one of the central characters, we’re speaking of talking planes here! A spinoff of Disney’s Cars, this animated comedy has winged

What is an Action?
An Action is an automated series of edits applied to an image. When you add photo effects in Elements, you are essentially running an Action. There is a dedicated panel found in Window>Actions.
Use built-in options.
This is the Actions panel, where you will find some built-in Actions. These are categorised by what they do: some have practical applications and some have more fun effects. Click on the folders to see them.

SHOOTING ACTION ALL AROUND YOU IS THE BEST PLACE TO START — HONE YOUR SKILLS CLOSE TO HOME FIRST…

If you have kids then you also have instant action subjects on permanent tap — and with the summer holidays here, lots of opportunities to get out

Getting to know your camera and how to access its important functions will shorten your set-up time and speed up the shooting process so that you can capture unexpected moments with ease. There are plenty of ways to put your skills to the test at home using everyday objects, or by enlisting friends and family to help. Use these projects to master shutter speeds and focusing, and in the process prepare yourself for the fast-paced world of

Digital Integration/Action Sixteen, CD ROM, £144.99
ANOTHER IN THE growing library of CD ROMs from sims publishers — this time from Action Sixteen. Again this format has provided an opportunity to repackage an old favourite, in this case the Megafortress bomber simulation. I particularly like this one because, apart from anything else, you have to play a number of roles within the one simulation. A total of five different crew members have jobs critical to the successful mission and they all need to be played out by you.
I’m going to take you through the second program on the CD
