Great article on Greeny in the August issue. The first time I saw Peter Green and this guitar was at The Beachcomber in Nottingham. This was when the soul band era was ebbing and the blues boom was taking hold: sad, in a way, as one could meet girls via soul, while the blues was blokes and bored girlfriends! Anyway, my hero was Jeff Beck, who I had seen with the Yardbirds, and Peter was the new guy in the Bluesbreakers: somehow I had sidestepped Eric Clapton twice. Peter knocked my socks off and I couldn’t wait for the Bluesbreakers

THE Supernatural

Of all the British Blues Boom guitarists, Peter Green was perhaps the most mercurial and the most fascinating. Michael Stephens charts his astonishing run of creativity in Fleetwood Mac.

The so-called ‘Surrey Delta’ had its own trio of guitar stars in the ’60s: Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page. But for the best of the British blues explosion you had to also look a little further East, to London’s Bethnal Green. Peter Green was rarely considered part of the Clapton/Beck/Page coterie – he was two years younger than Page, for example – yet he was every bit their equal.

Desert dreams

Peter Elfes was born in Sydney and grew up in the inner city suburb of Darling Hurst. Influenced and inspired by his father, a photojournalist who emigrated from Greece in the 1950’s, he developed a strong connection with the art of photography from an early age.

After working in his father’s studio for a few years, Peter began work in 1981 at Freeman Studio in Sydney, the second oldest, still running photographic studio in the world, and became its manager. In 1991, he left Freeman Studio and moved to New York to further his knowledge of the art

Live Green and prosper…

There are plenty of things that unite us all as guitar players, and there are many times when the differences between us (technical ability, say, or musical preferences) are easy to identify, explain and potentially eliminate. But when it comes to notions of ‘charisma’, ‘mystery’ and ‘soul’, it becomes a tricky business. Cue this month’s cover story on the great Peter Green and his legendary Gibson Les Paul. Investigating what is it about the man in combination with this particular guitar that enchanted and continues to enchant so many wasn’t an easy job. There are plenty of stories surrounding both

Passion — rest for the soul.

My good friend from Ukraine Peter A. Kuzmenko suited to any business slowly, but if for something to be taken, making every effort to realize our plans with the greatest effect. Apparently, this is not surprising, as the name Peter in Greek means «stone».

I want to talk about passion Poroshenko bees. He is always willing to show his apiary honey treats, talks about the updates that are already tested and what the results obtained …

By the way, about the results. They have beekeeper not only stable, but also very solid (and why I decided to tell about his

Everything you wanted to know about Max Payne, but were afraid to ask.

One group stands out crowds dancing to something dynamic girls in bright dresses. They advertise prefixed (so — bogomerzky, but somehow this cute heart) Space Channel 5. On the other crowd a mile away bears, sorry, silicone implants

Note of protest

Peter Kvotrup — a living legend of contemporary audio industry. Man, generating a storm of indignation and admiration among experts, journalists and lovers of good sound. Some consider him a charlatan, wringing crazy money for amplifiers built on a simple scheme, others bow before him, believing that Peter Kvotrup — the only one today refers to the sound really serious. Recently, we have personally met with the famous «mad professor», seeing how he creates his own equipment, to listen to his favorite music and tried to figure out what is really a technique English firm Audio Note.

An interview with Peter Piepenstock

When we think of the Sauerland region of Germany, our first thoughts are of winter sports and walking holidays. But at the edge of Schalksmuhle, a small rural community in the region, Peter Piepenstock lives with his family. The 41-year-old mechanical engineer, his wife Lidia, and their two children, Philipp and Pia, have something in their neat little house that would be the envy of any aquarist: plenty of space in the cellar, which Peter has filled with fish tanks—all now dedicated to African species.

AMAZONAS: How did you come to currently have three rooms full of aquariums?

Peter Piepenstock:

A creative atmosphere.

The 17th-century Suffolk house in which Cathy and Peter Bullen eventually decided to settle has come a long way over the past two decades and may even be to thank for their children’s artistic careers…

After moving house an incredible seven times in the first three years of her marriage, Cathy Bullen decided that enough was enough. With husband Peter in the army, home was wherever postings dictated, which often meant moving from opposite ends of the country. ‘I was struggling to settle each time we relocated,’ says Cathy. ‘Peter and I had both grown up in the same houses
