WHAT CAN PROGRAMMERS

Monica Lewinsky in the office:

Recently, I was explaining to you (unless you read my last year’s reports moonhead

Studios), who is responsible for Lionhead to look Black & White and her (game) consuming three-dimensionality. Of course, artists and programmers of the game engine. For those of you who are closer to Quake, explain: thanks to the artists and engine-programmer you will be able to move through three-dimensional mazes and halls. But the guards, past which you will dart about, will not attack you, and your BFG did not shoot as long as the programmers responsible for the playing of

A Q&A ON THE ABCs OF PROGRAMMING

Before we can do anything, we’ve got to cover the basics. Here’s what you have to know before you can get started.

WHEN WE SAY «PROGRAMMING,» WHAT DOES THAT REALLY MEAN?

For this article, we’re going to use a fairly narrow definition of programming, and say that what we’re talking about is the process of creating software on a computer. That process involves writing out a series of commands for the computer to execute, which will create our desired behavior. We write those commands using a programming language.

WHAT’S A PROGRAMMING LANGUAGE?

There’s an incredible variety of programming languages available

THE MOST IMPORTANT MILESTONES IN CODING HISTORY

1842 — THE FIRST PROGRAMMER

Ada Lovelace, daughter of the poet Lord Byron, diagrams a sequence of punch cards representing an algorithm for Charles Babbage’s Analytical Engine. Though the machine was never completed and the algorithm never ran, the diagram is considered to be the first computer program in history.

1954 — THE FIRST MODERN PROGRAMMING LANGUAGE

FORTRAN, the first high-level programming language, allows programmers to describe equations with drastically shorter programs. 50 years later, FORTRAN still sees widespread usage in the fields of mathematics and science.

1978 — THE BIRTH OF C

In Dubna in Russia created the first training center for GPU programming

On the territory of the technology development special economic zone "Dubna" is formed Research and Education Center "Parallel Computing"

When creating and adapting software that uses the power of parallel computing architecture, Russian developers will be able to get the new center to support the required quality, the company said Nvidia.

The main activities of the center are: the introduction of hybrid supercomputing technology to create software for hybrid computing (including HPC) systems, the transfer of computational tasks outside organizations on parallel architectures with full adaptation of code optimization computing tasks, training, and consulting on programming massively

Military helicopters segment is the fastest growing among all categories of conventional armaments

The exhibition HeliRussia-2012 of «Rosoboronexport» is a wide range of Russian helicopters production, performed in military and military-transport options. By the opening of the exhibition HeliRussia-2012 TSAMTO publishes statistics on the world market of military helicopters. Assessment TSAMTO in 2012-2015,. rotorcraft take second place in the structure of the world’s arms exports, in terms of giving mundane weapons only military aircraft. On military helicopters (including attack helicopters, maritime patrol and anti-submarine helicopters, transport helicopters and languid multipurpose helicopters) will hold the most significant share growth in the overall balance of global trade weapon. For comparison: in 2008-2011. military helicopters
