About 30 people were injured in Japan as a result of a tornado strike

September 2, 2013. At least 27 people were injured today in Japan's Saitama Prefecture as a result of the tornado that struck the eastern part of the central Japanese island of Honshu. According to local law enforcement agencies, more than 65 thousand homes were left without power.

According to the information received, the tornado tore roofs of dozens of homes in the prefectures of Saitama and Chiba.

The tornado came in around 14:00 local time.
