A wood-fired oven brings much more than pizza to your outdoor entertaining area.

A wood-fired pizza over will bring many flavours to your home. While the Italian favourite — wood-fired pizza — is hard to beat, you car also use a wood-fired over to roast, grill, smoke, dry, stew or bake bread. Whatever you make, it will have that signature gourmet-style wood-fired taste.

You car build your own outdoor pizza over or have someone do it for you.

When shopping around for a pizza over, the most obvious thing to look for is quality. «Look for

We’ve covered all our bases in terms of data security, but what about the physical security of our machine? What happens if we lose it, misplace it, or it gets stolen? Fortunately, there are a few things you can do to combat these scenarios, as well. Let’s take a look at the options.

Most all Macs include what’s known as a «Kensington Lock» port. This security port allows you to lock down your Mac using a simple cable that’s similar to a bicycle lock. You can get very fancy locks with all kinds of bells and whistles,

With Photoshop CS versions moving to a subscription-only fees package, now could be the time to consider alternative image-editing software. Here are 12 of the best contenders…

While Adobe Photoshop has long been the benchmark that all other image-editing software is judged by, it’s always been one of the most expensive applications on the market. That fact has been exacerbated in recent weeks with the announcement from Adobe that it intends to restructure its business model and the way it sells its flagship products.

In essence, Adobe has signalled its intention to license its industry-standard Creative

Desert dreams

Peter Elfes was born in Sydney and grew up in the inner city suburb of Darling Hurst. Influenced and inspired by his father, a photojournalist who emigrated from Greece in the 1950’s, he developed a strong connection with the art of photography from an early age.

After working in his father’s studio for a few years, Peter began work in 1981 at Freeman Studio in Sydney, the second oldest, still running photographic studio in the world, and became its manager. In 1991, he left Freeman Studio and moved to New York to further his knowledge of the art

The Knights of the Round Table would have appreciated this periscope to look over walls or around corners as an invaluable secret weapon when defending their castles.

It is advisable to buy your mirrors before starting any woodwork in case you can’t obtain the exact size that I have used. I found that small mirror tiles were ideal for the job. Within reason, the tube can be as long as you like.

1. Your first job. once you have chosen your mirrors, is to cut out the two corner blocks on which they must be mounted.

Take a length of

UNITED KINGDOM PILOT ROB DAVIES bailed out of his P-51 Mustang Big Beautiful Doll at Duxford’s Flying Legends air show last July 10. He had little choice.

During a break-to-landing maneuver, the right wing of a Douglas Skyraider from Rob’s formation slammed into the underside of the rear fuselage of his Mustang. The midair collision damaged the control cables, so after what he described as a violent crashing sound,

Rob suddenly found himself slewing side to side without pitch control. The airplane was 500 feet above the ground when he decided to get out, jettisoned the canopy, unfastened his harnesses,

Panasonic has won group tests and five-star reviews in almost every screen size we’ve tested so far in 2013. So we’re surprised that the TX-L50E6B doesn’t impress us in quite the same way.

The TX-L50E6B is one of Panasonic’s cheaper sets this year, but you wouldn’t know it from looking at it. It looks very similar to the rest of the LCD range, with its slim silver bezel and rectangular stand.

The stand doesn’t swivel, making it a little tricky to place. And it’s pretty much a no-go if you want to hang it on the wall, as all

Stash your stuff in these stylishly engineered bags from Thule.

These are the pogiest’s pieces of man-bag we’ve seen in a while. And we can’t just say “bag” because Cosmopolitan and Preview magazine already own the rights to the word and any discussion of it.

This is a man-bag, and Thule (pronounced “thu-la,” or “tool,” whichever feels better on your tongue), the Swedish brand best known for their car racks, has launched a line of lifestyle bags that defines urban swag. Manly (can’t emphasize this enough), neutral- colored, and obviously winning big in the tibay department, this new line of
