2013 — Year of Children’s Art

Chairman of the Regional Council of Eugene Hoopoe met with eight Denis Garkusha, who last fall was recorded in the Ukrainian Book of Records as the youngest professor of Japanese art of origami.

This art, he became interested in two years, and at seven began to conduct workshops for children and adults in the UCMJ number 137 and Dnepropetrovsk National University of Oles Gonchar. In his eight years, Denis creates more than 200 varieties of origami, some of which are designed by him personally.

— Our President Viktor Yanukovych has declared 2013 the Year of Children's Art. This once again confirms that our land is rich in talent. Develop and maintain them — our main task. They are the ones who will augment the glory of the Dnieper in Ukraine and in the future. That's why I invited Dennis to a meeting — said the chairman of the regional council of Eugene Hoopoe.

On behalf of the Chairman of the Regional Council of Child page of the newspaper "Dawn" was created category, which leads the young teacher. On it, he teaches small area residents to turn plain paper into flowers and toys. In addition, with the support of Eugene Hoopoe forthcoming textbook on the art of Japanese art of origami, authored by Denis.
