A year ago at TSU was established one of the first supercomputer research and educational centers of Russia — REC "SKT-Siberia". In front of him, as well as to other centers — participants in the project to create a supercomputer system of education in Russia, there are global problems. Prepare for 2015 of 15,000 professionals in the field of supercomputing technology — the task set by President Dmitry Medvedev to the founders of ACT in Russia. This project was proposed by the Moscow University. MV University after the meeting of the Commission for Modernisation and Technological Development of Russia in Sarov. He became one of the most important projects in the framework of the priorities of the Russian economy.

In TSU in 1958 was established the Department of Computational Mathematics, which determined the development of computer technology and parallel computing techniques themselves. And now our SKIF is one of the most powerful, not only in Russia but also in the world. Today, he is a TOP-500 most powerful supercomputers in the world, ranked 10th in the list of TOP-50 of the countries of the CIS and the third largest university supercomputers CIS countries.

So, in the framework of this project on the basis of universities — members of the Russian supercomputer consortium of universities was established seven research and education centers in federal districts: "SKT-Center", "ACT-Southern Urals", "SKT-Volga", "SKT-Seve- ro-West "," SKT-Siberia "," SKT-Far East "," SKT-South ". Were the first institutions of higher learning — the founders of the supercomputer consortium, among them was our "SKT-Siberia".

Looking for new programs

One of the important tasks for NOTsa — development of a new model of education, based on a multidisciplinary approach, continuity of multi-level educational programs, networking, links universities, industry, and academic institutions. Participants in the project created a new "body of knowledge" in the field of supercomputing technology, formulated proposals to expand the educational standards.
This year the program was launched a large-scale training in these structures. Each university has its own scientific schools and, perhaps, find high school, successfully developing in all directions, is unrealistic. That is why in Siberia went towards the creation of a network of educational program with a modular structure.
Integrated network program includes a base and variable parts, and the credit for it will be taken into account in all institutions — participants of the program. Discipline the student can learn anywhere you like, even remotely, greatly simplifies and speeds up the learning process.

Of course, in the development of educational programs in the ACT, given the dynamics of the industry, also has its own problems, but their solution is also within the competence of the new NOTsev. Their activities are aimed at addressing the key challenges posed to the participants of the project by the state: to train personnel in the field of SCT for the innovation economy. This task is one of those "super", because to have that number of highly qualified specialists only through additional education programs can not — here, fundamental knowledge.

We will establish cooperation

There is another problem — whether the economy is a real need for innovative professionals in the field of SCT, and in which sectors of industry, business and government, they will be in demand? To do this, you need to engage with representatives of these structures — among the tasks REC "SKT-Siberia" is this one. For example, the "SKT-Siberia" conducts workshops in which members of the Research and Education Center will present their training opportunities in the field of SKT representatives of industrial enterprises, businesses, and government agencies, so that they can understand what the real use from them may be at work .
