Surgutneftegaz has commissioned another field in Yakutia

OJSC "Surgutneftegaz" put into commercial operation the Eastern Bloc Talakansky oil and gas field in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). On June 2013 the company plans to put a new field in the Khanty-Yugra — im.N.K.Baybakova.

Ahead of the terms specified in the license for subsoil use, in April 2013 OJSC "Surgutneftegaz" commissioned 5th field in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) — Eastern Bloc Talakansky oil and gas field (discovered PGE "Lenaneftegazgeologiya" in 1984 as a result of exploration works). Proven recoverable reserves of the block (in category C1 and C2) are 19.55 million tons, gas — 29.16 billion m3. 

Company is actively conducted in the development of the field im.N.K.Baybakova Yugra Khanty-Mansiysk, Open JSC "Surgutneftegaz" in 2010, the commissioning of which is scheduled for June this year, also ahead of schedule specified in the license for subsoil use. Proved reserves (C1 and C2) are 5.05 million tonnes

On the field im.N.K.Baybakova built power lines, by June of this year to complete the construction of oil and gas pipelines, ploshchadochnyj facilities, including a booster pump station, cluster pump stations and maintenance of production facilities and already we drilled the first development well.

Large-scale exploration and measures to increase oil recovery allowed JSC "Surgutneftegaz" in 2012 to implement a two-time increase in the recoverable oil reserves of C1 (124 million tons) of the annual production level (61.4 million tons).

In the current year JSC "Surgutneftegaz" plans to continue the reproduction of the mineral resource base at the expense of the exploration and participation in auctions for the acquisition of new prospective areas in West and East Siberia, Timan-Pechora.
