Belarus on a working visit to Tatarstan government delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan — Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Zaripov. The delegation also included representatives of various ministries and departments of Tatarstan (the economy, health, education and science, the Chamber of Commerce), and the heads of a number of industrial and commercial organizations.
Members of the delegation held talks on the activities in the relevant ministries and departments of the Republic of Belarus, visited a number of Belarusian industrial enterprises, scientific, educational and medical institutions.
In particular, the concern "Belneftekhim" held talks on cooperation in the field of petrochemicals, where there is a high level of interaction between the parties, and established strong ties between Belarusian and Tatarstan companies on mutually supplying chemical raw materials.
The main partners of the Belarusian petrochemical companies are OJSC "Nizhnekamskneftekhim" oil company "Tatneft", JSC "Kazanorgsintez".
Belarus imports from Tatarstan oil, petroleum, petrochemical raw materials (synthetic rubber, polypropylene, high density polyethylene, monoethylene glycol, normal butane, propylene, trimmers, neonol, etc.).
Of the Republic of Belarus delivered C4 fraction, cord fabric, polyethylene terephthalate.
In June 2012, a contract between JSC "Naftan" and OAO "Nizhnekamskneftekhim" for delivery in 2013 of a new product — nitrile acid for the new production of ABS plastics in OAO "Nizhnekamskneftekhim" made trial shipments.
At the talks marked the mutual interest of both parties to deepen cooperation in the field of petrochemicals and asked to consider the possibility for a deeper integration of the petrochemical complex of Belarus and Tatarstan.
The delegation visited the "Belshina" and "Mogilevkhimvolokno" with long-term contracts for the supply of products and raw materials with Tatarstan partners.
The concern "Belneftekhim", which by order of the Government of the Republic of Belarus is the responsible curator of Belarus and Tatarstan cooperation, April 9, 2013 signed the Action Plan for 2013-2014 to the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Republic of Belarus on trade, economic, scientific, -technical and cultural cooperation of 23.04.2004.
