Venezuelan oil gets into the Odessa-Brody pipeline

Ukraine at the end of November 2010 is going to do the trial pumping of 80,000 tonnes of Venezuelan oil to the Mozyr refinery, Interfax reported.

For this purpose, will be used in aversnym mode pipeline "Odessa-Brody", as well as an oil pipeline "Druzhba" — said today the Minister of Fuel and Energy of Ukraine Yuriy Boyko.

"Trial run, I think it will be the end of November," — said the minister referring to the protocol decision taken by the government on Tuesday.

Now the pipeline "Odessa-Brody" pumping Russian oil in the reverse mode in the direction of Odessa. On this time Venezuelan oil is supplied to Ukraine by tankers at sea, and from there sent to Belarus by rail.

First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Andriy Klyuyev and First Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Vladimir Semashko July 12 signed an intergovernmental agreement on measures to promote cooperation in the transport of oil through Ukraine to Belarus.

Ukraine has the technical capability to receive oil in the Black Sea ports of the country, its handling and transport to Belarus by railway and pipeline transport in accordance with the proposal of Belarus volumes — up to 4 million tons in the period from 1 May 2010 to April 2011and increasing to 10 million tons of oil a year.

The contract to supply oil to Belarus via Odessa sea port was signed during a visit Alexander Lukashenko Venezuela in March.
