"The next stage — the creation of the first store for public use. Expect that at the end of 2013 it will be one of the "Green crossroads", — said Susov. Then, during 2014 the retailer expects to open three more stores in different regions. "Most likely, in Kazan, somewhere in Siberia and in the North-West", — said the representative of the X5. At the initial stage of the project will be developed on the basis of supermarkets "Crossroads."
After testing the technology in these first stores will decide on its future replication.
For mass use of radio frequency identification is necessary that the technology began to be applied, and the providers themselves. According Susov, the X5 has already begun preliminary talks with some of them. While the labels on the products X5 deals on their own.
The range of the pilot store is 5.3 thousand items, of which less than 7% are goods that are sold without RFID-technologies. This product, packaging which consists of a metal foil or use, which makes reading the tags. "While in goods such system is unstable. But over the next few months we will finalize the technology, "- said Susov, explaining that the first public store is planned to use labels to 100% range. By this time, as calculated in the X5, the cost of RFID-tags will drop significantly. Now one label is 3.5 rubles without VAT.
As stressed Susov, the use of this technology in stores X5 "no matter how much" does not affect the retail price of the goods.
Managing Director of "RUSNANO" George Kolpachev confident that the introduction of RFID-technology can "fundamentally change the industry." "It's like a story with bar codes. It can not be used only in a particular store or in a given network. But if a substantial fraction of networks will go at it, then this will happen qualitative change ", — he added.
It is expected that the company "Store of the Future" and will become a kind of system integrator, which will help to implement the new technology.
According Kolpacheva, "RUSNANO" plans to sell its stake in the project is tentatively in 2015-2016.

"Store of the Future" — payment terminal
The main feature of the "Store of the Future" — a new organization of purchases that do not require tellers and vendors. Automatic identification of goods (they are marked with RFID tags) will track the movement of products from the manufacturer to the warehouse, warehouse to the shop floor to the consumer; monitor expiration dates; instantly receive information on the number and variety on the shelves and to prevent entry of counterfeit goods.
The visitor selects the trading floor of the goods, putting them in a basket and passed to an automatic teller (ckaner). Lowering the basket of products in a special scanner bay, the buyer sees on the screen of the terminal information about the selected item and the total amount. Items in the basket are scanned simultaneously, which greatly increases the speed of service. Then the product is paid by the buyer at a special terminal. "Store of the Future" accepts cash, credit cards and payments c contactless technology, including phones with NFC.
In addition, the "Store of the Future" embedded system "smart shelf" and planned to introduce "smart carts". On the "Smart Cart", which so far only exists in prototype technology is used indoor positioning based network Wi-Fi. "The visitor will be able to enter the names of the goods using the touch screen carts, and it alone will pave the optimal route for trading room," — says the director of the new technology of "Envision Group" (part of "RTI") Michael Minkovskiy.
"Smart Shelf" collects information about the availability of goods, and in their absence provides information store employees. "Shops loses 10-20% of its revenue due to the lack of goods on display," — says Minkovskiy. According to him, the benefit from the launch of the project will be not so much in reducing the number of employees and reducing the wage bill, how much to increase the speed of service. Thus, the process of OMR takes only 12 seconds regardless of quantity. According to him, on the basis of the pilot stores will be run-in technologies that will be introduced later in a public store.
