The massive use of Russian Emergencies Ministry aircraft allowed to locate in the Tomsk region of the third act forest fires on an area of almost 2.2 thousand hectares, told RIA Novosti on Monday, a representative of the National Center for Crisis Management (National Emergency Management Center) Emergency Ministry.

"The fight against fire in the Tomsk region are 13 aircraft," — said the source, adding that Monday morning they had fired 67 drains water weighing 579 tons.

The representative of the National Emergency Management Center said that now in the region are 33 forest fires with a total area 5.82 thousand acres, ten of them in the area of 2.18 thousand hectares through the use of aircraft have been contained.

Since the beginning of the fire season this year, the total area of forest fires in Russia amounted to 1.3 million hectares. In this case, 88% of the total number of forest fires occurred, and 99% of the area traversed by the fire were in the North-West, Ural, Siberian and Far Eastern federal districts. According to the Emergency Situations Ministry, to extinguish wildfires and fire safety settlements and the economy in the regions involved 209.85 thousand and 45.94 thousand pieces of equipment, including 108 aircraft.

As reported earlier, the Office, in 2012, a high risk that wildfires and agricultural palov on settlements, garden plots and the economy is predicted in Sverdlovsk, Chelyabinsk, Tyumen, Omsk and Amur regions.

According to the forecast, the excess of the average annual values of landscape fires (the number of seats and the area) is expected in Bashkortostan, Buryatia, Komi, Perm, Altai, Krasnoyarsk, Trans-Baikal, Khabarovsk and Primorye territories, Kaliningrad, Voronezh, Novosibirsk, Tomsk, Kirov, Sverdlovsk , Tyumen and Omsk regions.

According to the Emergency Situations Ministry, in 2011, the country was 21.1 thousands of forest fires (in 2010 — 34.8 thousand) of the total area of 1.67 million hectares (in 2010 — 2.45 million).

The most difficult situation in some periods of the fire season shape in Yakutia, Komi Republic, Buryatia, Khabarovsk, Trans-Baikal, Krasnoyarsk regions, Arkhangelsk and Irkutsk regions.
