Canadian oil and gas company Plains Midstream Canada has announced the spill of more than three million barrels of crude oil into a tributary of the River Red Deer, Alberta, reports the Associated Press.
The incident occurred on Friday night. The work of the pipeline, from which there was a leak, suspended. The causes of oil spills are not reported.
An oil spill was reported near the town of Sundre (Sundre) 100 kilometers from the third largest city in Alberta, Red Deer.
Increase the area of the spill contributes to the rainy weather, established in the region in recent days.
