MOE asks residents not to visit Tuva because of the increasing number of forest fires, the area of which has increased over the weekend in the country four times and exceeded one thousand hectares, said the agency.

According to the MOE, in Tuva for today are 14 forest fires on an area of 1.059 thousand hectares, of which three large fire in the area of 860 hectares. All four localized fire on a total area of almost 600 hectares. The fifth class of fire danger is active in Erzinsky districts, fourth grade — in the nine districts.

"Dear citizens, Due to sustained dry and hot weather, the increase in the number and area of forest fires urge you to limit visits to forests, to comply with fire safety regulations in the settlements" — said the MOE.

Authorities in the region on July 18 lifted emergency mode, which operated in the country since June 6.

Large forest fire in the area of 500 hectares appeared June 6 in Barun-Khemchik forest in Bai-Taiga district of the republic. In the liquidation group participated paratroopers Tuvan airbase in the amount of 14 persons, eight paratroopers died. Six survived, one of them was hospitalized in serious condition.
