More than 30 forest fires were registered in Siberia

The area of forest fires in Siberia for the past day has decreased from 948.2 ha to 722.2 hectares, the number of lesions with increased from 29 to 32, said on Friday Siberian Center of MOE.

"There are 32 forest fires on an area of 722.2 hectares, of which 14 localized fires in the area 341.2 hectares. Larger fires not," — said in a statement.

According to the District Department of Forestry, fires registered in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the Republic of Tuva, Altai, Buryatia and Khakassia in the Tomsk region. In Transbaikalia, where in April-May, the most difficult situation evolved, both occurred a day forest fire was extinguished.

Total for the district one day could eliminate 42 forest fires in the area of 1.036 thousand hectares, 26 of which — the day of discovery.

The Department notes that the total area of forest fires to date is three times less than in the same period of 2011. In 2011, on this day there were 122 forest fires in the area of 811 hectares 3000.

Special fire mode (restriction on visiting forests) is introduced throughout the Trans-Baikal region, Kemerovo and Novosibirsk regions, the Republic of Tuva, Altai, in three areas of the Republic of Buryatia, in nine districts of the Tomsk region, in 21 districts of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, in 19 districts of the Irkutsk region.
