Number of forest fires in Russia over the weekend has not changed — the FFA

Number of forest fires in Russia over the holidays was reduced from 149 to 144 seats, the most complex situation remains in Siberia and the Far East, according to the FFA.

According to authorities, over the past day by fire covered 8,000 acres, including 6.2 thousand hectares of forest area, on the forest lands of Russia eliminated 100 forest fires, including three large ones.

"As of Wednesday, in Russia there are 144 fire on forest land. The most difficult situation is in the forests of the Siberian and Far Eastern Federal Districts of the Russian Federation", — the report says.

It clarifies the agency, the largest number of fires recorded in the forests of Krasnoyarsk Krai, Yakutia, and the Tomsk region of Tuva.

"In order to stabilize the forest fire situation introduced a state of emergency in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District and Tuva, as well as in the three districts of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, in five areas of the Amur region, in four regions of the Transbaikal, one region of Yakutia," — said in a statement.

In extinguishing fires involving 3.1 thousand people, 399 pieces of fire equipment and 81 aircraft.

The main cause of fires remain selhozpaly, careless handling of fire and dry thunderstorms.

It clarifies the FFA, threatening settlements and no economy.
