Number of forest fires in Russia were reduced daily to 198 seats

 Number of forest fires in Russia over the past day has decreased from 203 to 198 seats, the most difficult situation persists in the Urals, Siberia and the Far East, according to the FFA.

As of Monday in Russia are 198 forest fires, of which 194 fires on forest lands, three fires — in Buryatia, the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District and in the Orenburg region, in the lands of specially protected natural areas, one fire in Chukotka, the land of reindeer pastures.

"No threats settlements and no economy", — assured in FFA.

According to the ministry, for the moment on the forest lands Russia eliminated 140 fires, including 16 large.

For the past day the fire covered 10.8 thousand hectares, including 8.1 hectares on the wooded area.

The most difficult situation is in the forests of the Ural, Siberian and Far Eastern federal districts. In particular, in the Krasnoyarsk Krai 65 forest fires in the area of 5.4 thousand hectares, in the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District are 38 forest fires in the area of 3.2 thousand hectares in Chukotka operates two forest fires in the area of 4.9 thousand hectares.

The main cause of forest fires — selhozpaly, thunderstorm activity, careless handling of fire, said the FFA.
