SCA has invested 85 million euros in the plant tissue products near Tula

The third-largest producer of tissue products — Swedish SCA has invested 85 million euros in the construction of a factory in the city Venev Tula region, the company said. At the Tula factory SCA plans to produce under the brand names Libero diapers and Tena. For the Swedish factory Venev will be the third company in Russia — the company already produces toilet paper and hygiene products under the brands Zewa and Tork in factories in cities in the Soviet Tula Svetogorsk and Leningrad regions.

"We expect the growth rate for all categories of goods, produced by SCA in Russia and the CIS. The new plant Venev … will allow us to significantly reduce transport costs and make it possible to respond more quickly to customer needs "- is cited in a statement the head of Jan Johansson, SCA.
Proceeds from the sale of the Swedish hygiene products in 2009 amounted to about 2.8 billion euros. In Russia, this market is on the rise. In June of this year, rival SCA — American Kimberly-Clark opened a factory for the production of diapers and handkerchiefs cost of $ 170 million in the Moscow region, expecting annual growth of sales of these products by 25-30%.
