Trade Minister Valentin Chekanov told lawmakers of the House of Representatives that the excessive demand for food is not.
"There is an increased demand for salt, sugar, vinegar, pasta and cereals, which are sold slightly more than usual," — said Chekanov.
The minister also denied that there is a draft decision which puts the state's monopoly on imports.
He called such information fiction.
"We are now working on similar terms with companies both state and non-state forms of ownership that are imported goods in Belarus", — said Valentin Chekanov.
