Sunken boat on the Neva examined to assess the risk of fuel spills

Experts of the Committee on the Environment of St. Petersburg on the Neva inspect sunken boat to see if there is any risk of fuel spills in the waters, said Acting Chief of urban emergency department Alexei Anikin.

There is an ongoing work to raise the ship with a 12-meter depth of the boat struck the water.

"On board the ship raised the experts arrived. They assess the risk of oil spills from the engine room, after which a decision will be made to continue the work," — said Anikin reporters.
