Troops aerospace defense get 20 new radars

Radio engineering units Troops Aerospace Defence (ASD) in 2013 to receive weapons about 20 new radars of different modifications. This was reported in the press release of the Ministry of Defence.

According to the website department, troops ASD receive radar "Gamma-S", "Sky-Y", "Flying up-K" also modernized radars "Desna", "Caste" and others.

Radar will be used to review the data of detection, automatic acquisition, tracking and target selection for the next transmission disk imaging anti-aircraft missile systems, and identification of state ownership goals. Radars will be able to immediately detect over 100 different classes of targets, including aircraft, helicopters, drones, missiles and at a distance of 400 km in small, medium and large heights.

Previously reported Defense Ministry plans to upgrade radars troops ASD by 70 percent by 2020.
