11,000 Colorado residents evacuated because of wildfires

U.S. authorities have evacuated at least 11,000 people from natural fires, raging since Saturday in eastern Colorado, said on Sunday telekanalCNN.

To date, the fire covered 800 hectares of land in the west of the city of Colorado Springs. Contributed to the rapid spread of fire, dry and windy weather.

The county of El Paso announced a state of emergency because they can not cope with the fire.

"Obviously, the resources of any of our services is not enough. This (state of emergency) is a necessary step in dealing with a disaster of this magnitude," — said the mayor of Colorado Springs, Steve Bach (Steve Bach).

At the moment, in the state of Colorado still rages six large wildfires. With fire fighting thousands of firefighters and 70 units of aircraft.
