Alexei Chizhov won the World Cup in drafts


Russian Alexei Chizhov was the winner of the World Cup to drafts held in the French city of Lille. The press service of the Minsportturizma Udmurt Republic.

The tournament brought together 82 of the planet's strongest athlete. In the first nine rounds played Chizhov scored 79 points, slightly ahead of another Russian drafts player — Alexander Shvartsman.

World Cup International Checkers is part of the World Mind Games (IMSA-2012) since 2008. Competitions are held every four years, in addition to the Olympic Games, and include subjects such as bridge, chess, checkers (Brazilian international, Russian, checkers), go and Chinese chess.
