Forest conservation one day put out in the Far East, 24 wildfires

Forest protection specialists for the last day eliminated the Far East 24 wildfires, 36 more fires continue to blaze in the region, the press service of the Department of Forestry in the Far Eastern Federal District.

"Over the past day in the Far East there were 79 forest fires. Forest protection forces succeeded in eliminating 24 fire, 23 of which occurred in the preceding days. Additional 19 forest fires have been contained," — said in a statement.

Specifies that the area affected by fire for the last day, was 1.799 thousand hectares, of which the area covered by forest is 779 hectares. Extinguishing involved over a thousand people and 224 pieces of equipment, 18 aircraft, including 12 helicopters.

"As of Sunday evening, 36 wildfires continue to blaze in five of the nine subjects DFO, including 22 — in the Khabarovsk region, seven — in the Sakhalin region, five — in the Amur region, in — one in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) and the Maritime Territory, "- said in a statement.

In order to stabilize a regime of emergency in one area of the Amur region, in 21 districts of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), in two areas of the Sakhalin region. Special fire mode (restriction on visiting forests) is introduced in 13 districts of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) in 10 districts of the Primorsky Territory, in seven districts of the Khabarovsk Territory, in five areas of the Sakhalin region, in four districts of the Jewish Autonomous Region, in the two regions of Chukotka, in one area of the Magadan region.
