The following year, the residents of Belarus will pay up to 34% of the cost of housing and communal services. While Belarusians cover only about 25% of the cost of utility bills.
Speaking at a press conference in Minsk Deputy Minister of Housing and Communal Services (HCS) Nicholas Lipen, for this year utility rates did not go up until the end of the year their increase is not planned, BelTA informs.
"When the budget for the following year provided that the population will pay 34 percent of the cost of production of housing services. Everything else will cover the self-organization and subsidies from the state budget," — said Lipen.

Lipen also recalled that since 2010 he wascanceled and non-cash housing subsidies for utility services for low-income families. Now, according to He said, such assistance to families provided by the Ministry of Labour and Social Security through social benefits that can be spent, among other things, on payment of utility bills.
