Gregory Kastusyou and Yanukevich
On Gregory Kastusiou, event is held in memory of Belarusian writers and poets who were shot on the night of 29 to 30 October 1937. Kastusyou noted that the idea of picketing occurred during trips to the region:
"Basically, in the course of the meetings were friendly conversations. But there were also cases of unfriendly relations, not only to me, as a representative of the BPF, but also to all members of the democratic forces of the most ardent supporters of Alexander Lukashenko. And what struck me in these here are not very pleasant encounters, particularly ardent supporters of Lukashenka in his statements did not hesitate to say that they are ready to shoot us, me and other representatives of the democratic forces, members of our pickets. Such cases were few, but they were. I see that the descendants of the butchers who kill people in the 30-50's once again come out of the shadows and did not hesitate to openly talk about such things. As they prepared to shoot, put to the wall of those who do not support Alexander Lukashenko. "
Kastusyou noted in Belarus survived the Soviet system framing of family dynasties. The descendants of those who once participated in the repression, fear, and do not allow to open the KGB archives, and through the security forces are trying to control the situation in the country:
"Unfortunately, this system is still working. Henceforth we will try to achieve rassakrechvannya KGB archives, and will try not to let the heirs of the executioners 30s implement their new monstrous deeds."
In the night from 29 to 30 October 1937 in the current KGB jail were destroyed dozens of representatives of the Belarusian intelligentsia. Among those killed were writers Ales Dudar, Todor Klyashtorny, Michas Zaretsky, Chernushevich Alexander, Michael Reed, science, culture and art. That night was the culmination of the destruction of the Belarusian national intelligence.
