Sharp drop in temperature — from the current minus 16 to minus 30 degrees — is expected in the coming days in the Lipetsk region, said on Thursday the municipality of the regional center, referring to the rescuers.
"According to the Office of Civil Defense and Emergency Administration of Lipetsk, in the period of January 25-29, is expected to abnormally cold weather," — said in a statement.
According to city officials, the temperature drops by more than 10 degrees. As a result, the average temperature will be 7-12 degrees below historical averages, falling first to 18-22 degrees Celsius, and then lower.
From 26 to 29 January the thermometer is expected to fall below 30 degrees Celsius.
