Astrakhan region: a new school and the development of vegetable growing

Astrakhan Oblast is one of the few regions of Russia where an increasing share of the rural population. One of the growing and rejuvenating — a village Soljanka Nariman District. Over the past 10 years, the population has increased by almost half. But rural students were forced to study in three dilapidated buildings built in 1906. Construction of the new school began in 2004, managed to finish the new building thanks to a beginning of the year the agreement between the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia and the Ministry of Agriculture of the Astrakhan region in an integrated program "Social development of village until 2012."

Now Solyanke 350 students, the new school is designed for 500 students. It is furnished with two dozen classrooms, including classrooms with modern science, technology, and laborantskimi, sports hall, assembly hall with radiuzlom, library, outdoor sports and recreation area. There is also a doctor's office, a room of extracurricular activities, dining room with technological facilities.

After the opening of the new school Astrakhan Region Governor Alexander Zhilkin and Minister of Agriculture Elena Skrynnik held a meeting on "Status and prospects of development of vegetable production in the Russian Federation."
