Berlin every Belarusian opposition — not less important than the events in Africa

The fate of each member of the Belarusian opposition is not to be less important to Europeans than the events in Africa. This statement was made today by the German Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle at the current European Forum in Berlin.

At the European Forum, which is held every year since 1997, government officials, politicians and other influential EU officials discuss necessary reforms of the European Communities.

Opening the event, European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso said that Brussels has developed an overall strategy to deepen political and economic cooperation with the countries of the southern Mediterranean that have chosen the path of democratic reforms.
