Number of forest fires in Russia over the past day has decreased from 201 to 190 seats, the most difficult fire situation remains in Siberia, the Urals and the Far East, according to the FFA.
"As of Tuesday morning in Russia there are 190 forest fires in the area of 21.7 thousand hectares, threatening settlements and no economy. Past day fire covered 5.5 thousand hectares, including 5.2 thousand forested area" — said in a statement.
According to authorities, in the Krasnoyarsk region are 73 forest fires in the area of 8.2 hectares, in the Tomsk region — 35 fires in the area of over 8000 acres in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District — 19 fires area of 1.9 hectares, in Yakutia — 17 fire area of 1.6 hectares, in Tuva — 15 fire area of 1.3 hectares.
On firefighting work 4.9 thousand people, 516 pieces of fire equipment, 46 aircraft.
According to the forecast of the forest department, the high, sometimes extreme fire danger is expected in the Southern Federal District, in the Stavropol region, Ulyanovsk and Orenburg regions, Bashkortostan, Novosibirsk, Tomsk, Kemerovo Region, the Krasnoyarsk Territory, Khakassia and Tuva, in the south of the Omsk region.
