Tungurahua volcano threw ash to a height of 4 km

MEXICO CITY, Nov. 30 — RIA Novosti, Dmitry Znamensky. The ash cloud emitted from the crater of the volcano Tungurahua (Tungurahua) is 135 kilometers from the capital of Ecuador, Quito, reach a height of four kilometers, than seriously frighten the population located near the volcano of villages and towns, said Tuesday the Colombian publication El Espacio.

Volcano awoke last Sunday. Authorities declared an orange alert level, but up until the evacuation is not reached. Emergency services have warned residents about possible spread of the ash cloud.

Tungurahua volcano became more active in 1999 and since then does not stop from time to time to disturb local residents and the government of Ecuador.
