Area of forest fires in Siberia decreased to 8.3 thousand hectares

The area of forest fires in Siberia for the past day has decreased from 10.47 thousand to 8.326 thousand hectares, said on Thursday the county Department of Forestry.

"In the Woodland district are 38 forest fires in the area of 8.326 hectares in the Krasnoyarsk region, the Altai Republic, Tomsk and Irkutsk regions," — said in a statement.

The Office notes that the area of forest fires in the Krasnoyarsk region was reduced by 1.4 times. As of Thursday morning, in the Region reported 23 forest fires in the area of 3.884 hectares.

On fighting forest fires in the Krasnoyarsk region are now working 760 people, including more than 300 paratroopers, 32 units of fire equipment, 13 aircraft.
