The tariff for transportation of petroleum products on the territory of Belarus with the January 1, 2011 increased by 2.5% to $ 1.64 per ton per 100 kilometers.
Such a solution is fixed resolution of the Ministry of Economy of Belarus N157 from 1 November 2010 "The tariff on oil product transportation services through the main oil pipelines, located on the territory of Belarus."
The resolution was adopted in accordance with the agreement between the governments of Belarus and Russia on cooperation in the exploitation of main oil pipelines, located on the territory of Belarus and shall enter into force on 1 January 2011a.
As reported, previous tariff increases occurred on July 1 2010 — rate was increased by 12.6% to $ 1.6 per ton per 100 km. Prior to that, the tariffs for transportation of petroleum products rose 1 January 2010. Then the rate has been increased by 4.4% to $ 1.42 per ton per 100 km.
Transit of oil through Belarus carries Russian company "West Transnefteprodukt", which is a subsidiary of the Russian AK "Transnefteprodukt."
The average annual volume of oil transit through the territory of Belarus is 9 milenav tons.
