The prospects for further cooperation between Belarus and the International Monetary Fund discussed on November 8 in the administration President of Belarus.
Deputy Head of Administration of the President Belarus Leonid Anfimov met with IMF advisor operations office for Europe, the head of the IMF mission in Belarus Christopher Jarvis, and the Resident Representative in Belarus Natalia Kolyadina.
The meeting focused on the current socio-economic development and plans for 2011-2015.
IMF review mission began its work in Minsk on November 3. The experts will stay in Belarus until November 16.
In the IMF office in Minsk, reported: an annual mission, the purpose of which — an overview of the economic policies of the previous year and discuss with the authorities the policy for the next year and the medium term.
In particular, the parties will discuss the monetary, fiscal and exchange rate policies.
In representation of the IMF noted that the question of a new loan program to discuss the framework of the mission is not planned.
In 2009 —2010x Belarus received five tranches of the IMF loan program stand-by. The total amount of funds allocated to fund the stabilization program, was about 3.46 billion.
With the request for a new loan under the stand-by Belarusian authorities to the IMF is not appealing.
