In 2012, Nizhnekamskneftekhim increased production of finished products by 3.2%

Group "Nizhnekamskneftekhim" published consolidated financial statements under IFRS for the year 2012. During the 12 months of 2012, production of finished goods rose by 3.2% compared to the same period of 2011 and reached 2 249,1 thousand tons. The volume of rubber production rose by 5.4% to 589 thousand tons. Release of plastics increased by 2.1% to 605 thousand tons.



In 2012, sales revenue increased by 3.5% compared to the same period of 2011 and reached 130,487 million rubles. The growth is primarily due to the implementation of development programs on modernization, uprating and replaced in the proposed portfolio of low-margin consumer monomers and intermediates — high-margin innovative types of polymer products. Also, the increase in revenues affected the favorable market conditions, as well as optimal utilization of production capacity.

In January-December 2012 EBITDA decreased by 5.8% compared to the same period in 2011 and reached 22 781 million rubles. The EBITDA margin was 17.5%. For 2012, the net profit of "Nizhnekamskneftekhim" decreased by 3.6% compared to the same period in 2011 and reached 15 277 million. Reduced profitability on EBITDA and net income due to the deterioration of the price situation at the Company's products in the II half of 2012. Company's debt remains low. Total borrowings decreased by 5,159 million (2011 — 2,944 million) and amounted to 5,963 million (2011 — 11 122 million). By the Board of Directors of the Company proposed to pay a dividend in the amount of 5,088 million rubles at the rate of 2.78 rubles per share (2.36 rubles per share in 2012).


JSC "Nizhnekamskneftekhim" (part of the group of companies "Taif") is a high-tech petrochemical company. Industrial Complex includes 10 major production plants, 7 centers (including science and technology and design), as well as auxiliary workshops and management. The range of products — more than 140 items. Major commodities are: synthetic rubber of general and special-purpose plastics (polystyrene, polypropylene and polyethylene) monomers as raw material for the production of rubber and plastics, other petrochemical products (ethylene oxide, propylene oxide, alpha-olefins, surfactants etc.).
