July 1, Moscow hosted a forum of gas exporting countries. In addition to the Russian president, attended by the leaders of Venezuela, Bolivia, Iran, and Iraq's Prime Minister. The next day, in the presence of the Russian leader, representatives of Venezuela and Bolivia signed a long-term agreement with the President of the Russian oil company "Rosneft" Igor Sechin.
In particular, the head of Russia's state-owned companies and the oil minister of Venezuela, PDVSA President Rafael Ramirez signed an agreement on cooperation in the implementation of new projects on the shelf of Venezuela. How will this collaboration? First of all, will assess the feasibility of co-production of gas and condensate on the Venezuelan offshore LNG for export and domestic sales, as well as creating a joint venture for the development of gas fields. PDVSA is ready to share all the information necessary for the activities of the working groups formed.
On the same day another South American country, Bolivia, has also invited the "Rosneft" to hydrocarbon exploration in their territory. The day before, Igor Sechin agreement with Bolivia's energy minister Jose Hernando Sosa Soruko business cooperation with that country. The parties here have agreed to establish a working group to explore the possibilities of joint production of hydrocarbons. Bolivia, thus becoming the next state in which in "Rosneft" can appear profitable projects.
