Area of forest fires in Siberia continues to grow

The area of natural fires in Siberia continued to grow on Monday morning off more than 200 hectares of forest, according to the District Department of Forestry.

"Today, in the district has seven forest fires in the area 206 hectares. Fires registered in the Krasnoyarsk and Tomsk region. Three fires on the area 37 hectares, according to operational data already located," — said in a statement.

On Friday, seven were recorded forest fires in the area of 158 hectares in the Krasnoyarsk region.

The Office notes that only in the last day by the Forest Service eliminated 14 new and previously recorded forest fires in the area of 191 hectares.

According to the department, threatening human settlements and economic facilities in the area do not.

In order to stabilize the forest fire situation remains special fire mode (restriction on visiting forest) across the Trans-Baikal region, Tomsk region and in the six districts of the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
