Area of forest fires in Siberia increased by 4 times — up to 154 m

Forest conservation over the past day in Siberia put out 17 fires on the area of 111 hectares, but warm dry weather contributed to the emergence of new and widening of the registered centers, in general, the situation worsened considerably after day — wildland fire spread to the area of 154 hectares, according to the District Department of Forestry .

"Today, the district has eight forest fires in the area of 154 hectares, of which 84 hectaresforest. Fires registered in the Republic of Buryatia, the Tomsk region and the Krasnoyarsk Territory," — said in a statement.

On Tuesday morning there were seven forest fires on an area of 38 hectares in Buryatia, the Tomsk region and the Krasnoyarsk Territory.

At the moment, according to the department, of the eight centers are located at four area of 34 hectares.

Threats to human settlements and economic facilities in the area do not.

In order to stabilize the forest fire situation remains special fire mode (restriction on visiting forest) across the Trans-Baikal region and the Tomsk region.
