Began regular flights from the runway number 1 in Vladivostok airport. Runway with artificial turf (AAR-1) was put into operation after reconstruction, which was launched in 2009.
After the reconstruction of the runway length-1 amounted to 3.5 thousand meters, width — 60 meters. The strip can accept all types of aircraft without any restrictions.
AAR-1 is equipped with modern meteorological, electronic and lighting equipment, so the reception of the aircraft can be maintained even in conditions of very low visibility. Electronic support equipment as well as equipment for air traffic control made by Russian producers.
The reconstruction of the runway at the airport of Vladivostok was conducted in the framework of the federal target program "Economic and social development of the Far East and Transbaikalia until 2013" and the subprogram "Development of Vladivostok as a center for international cooperation in the Asia-Pacific region." The construction and reconstruction of facilities was sent to a total of 5.5 billion rubles. In general, until the end of 2011 for the reconstruction of the airport complex is planned to 10,285 billion rubles.
