November 23 in Brussels will host the next annual meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the countries — participants of the EU "Eastern Partnership".
As the November 18 at a press briefing, Foreign Ministry spokesman Andrei Savinykh, the Belarusian delegation led by Deputy Minister Foreign Affairs Valery Voronetski will present their proposals and position on the further development of the initiative "Eastern Partnership".
On He said, "Special attention Belarusian side will propose to focus on the revitalization of the project activities and the establishment of the economic dimension — Eastern Development Forum, as well as the substantial filling of the upcoming summit of" Eastern Partnership ", which will be held in May 2011and in Budapest. "
The program of the Belarusian delegation also includes Voronetsky series of bilateral meetings with representatives of the European Union, the leadership of foreign ministers of the European countries. During these meetings will discuss issues of cooperation at the bilateral level and in the context of relations between Belarus and the EU, said the spokesman.
Preside at the meeting in Brussels will be the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Vice-Chairman of the European Commission Catherine Ashton.
Participants in the initiative "Eastern Partnership" are 27 countries — EU member states, the governing bodies of the European Union, as well as Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine.
