More than 250 hectares of forest continues to burn in Siberia

The area of forest fires in Siberia for the day declined slightly — from 269 to 256 hectares, the forest continues to burn in the Trans-Baikal and Buryatia, said on Wednesday the District Department of Forestry.

"Today, the district has seven forest fires in the area of 256 hectares. Five fires in the area of 247 hectares is located. Registered in the Republic of Buryatia four forest fire in the area of 14 hectares, in the Trans-Baikal region — three fires on the area of 242 hectares," — said in a message.

On Tuesday morning there were nine seats on the area 269 hectares in Buryatia and the Trans-Baikal region.

For the past day by the Forest Service was eliminated eight new and previously recorded forest fires in the area of 107 hectares.

According to authorities, threatening human settlements and economic facilities in the area do not.
