Nearly 400 hectares of forest continues to burn in Siberia

 The area of forest fires in Siberia for the day declined from 399.6 to 387 hectares, the forest continues to burn in Buryatia and Transbaikalia, said on Friday the district forestry department.

"Today, the district has six forest fires in the area of 387 hectares, of which 217 acres — Forest. Three fires on the area of 381 hectares is located," — said in a statement.

According to the agency, in Buryatia registered two forest fires in the area of 0.7 hectares in the Baikal and Kyakhtinsky areas in the Trans-Baikal region — four focus on the area of 386 hectares.

The Department notes that the threats to human settlements and economic facilities in the area do not.

In order to stabilize the forest fire situation remains special fire mode (restriction on visiting forest) across the Trans-Baikal region, in three regions of Buryatia. In Kolpashevsky region of Tomsk region continues to operate emergency mode.
