Number of forest fires in Russia for the last day has increased from eight to nine seats — the most difficult situation is in the Kamchatka region, according to the Federal Forestry Agency (FFA).

"As of Wednesday morning in Russia on forest land are nine forest fires in the area of 320 hectares: the Trans-Baikal region — three fires on the area 71 hectares, in the Republic of Buryatia — four fire on an area of 23 hectares, in the Kamchatka region — two fire area of 226 hectares. According to the summary of the forest department, over the past day 11 fires were extinguished, and the fire had covered 307 hectares, including 203 hectares of forest area. For fire fighting involved 240 people, 54 units of fire equipment, eight aircraft.
