Number of forest fires in Russia for the last day has increased from five to eight seats, the most difficult situation is stored in the forests of the Tomsk region, according to the Federal Forestry Agency (FFA).

"As of Tuesday morning in Russia on forest land are eight forest fires in the area of 42 hectares: the Tomsk region there are two fires on the area of 25 hectares, in the Krasnoyarsk region — four fire on an area of 10 hectares, in Buryatia — one fire in the square three hectares, in the Sverdlovsk region — one fire on the square four acres, "- said in a statement.

According to the summary of the forest department, over the past day 30 fires were extinguished, and the fire had covered 190 hectares, including 174 hectares of forest area. In this case, fire-fighting brought 264 people, 90 units of fire engines, nine aircraft.

As predicted by the agency, in the next few days in some areas are expected to increase fire risk.

"High, places extreme fire danger is expected in the Rostov region, Stavropol region, northern Dagestan, Kurgan, Omsk and Tomsk regions, western Altai, Tuva, in the southeast of Evenkia in the Irkutsk region," — noted in FFA.
