Pravalski appealed against the refusal to register

Vitebsk businessman Vladimir Pravalski appealed to the Supreme Court of the CEC refusal to register him as a candidate for the president.

As the BelaPAN Pravalski, against the decision of the CEC filed with the Supreme Court on November 19. On the same day he received a summons to court as a complainant on 22 November.

In his complaint Pravalski indicates that the Central Election Commission did not examine the appropriate procedure for the nomination of its presidential candidate, which, in his opinion, is a violation of the Electoral Code.

Pravalski also inform the Supreme Court that he was not given the CEC refusal to register, despite the oral request to the selection committee.

On the basis of Article 68 of the Electoral Code, it needs to cancel the decision of the Central Election Commission on 18 November.

The collection of signatures in support of the nomination of presidential candidates was held from September 30 to October 29. The initiative group Pravalski announced the commissioning of the territorial election commissions 109 000 338 signatures.

However, according to the district election commission Pervomayskaya Vitebsk, the test results in including with the involvement of Interior, confirmed the invalidity of the majority of signatures submitted in support of Pravalski.

At a meeting of the Central Election Commission on November 18, it was stated that only 118 are recognized as valid signatures. In response Pravalski said that he considers the actions of the territorial election commission as the abuse of power and will appeal them.
