In the Voronezh region opened the plant for the production of pelleted sugar beet seeds

June 4th, 2011 at Ramon district of Voronezh region, the official opening of the new plant Ltd. "Betagran Ramon" for the production of pelleted sugar beet seed, built in the framework of the sectoral programs of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation "The development of sugar beet subcomplex Russia for 2010-2012".

The plant is designed to receive the treated sugar beet seeds, grinding, sizing, pan coating, drying, chemical processing and packaging of the seeds in order to bring them up to the quality of sowing conditions 1st class standard seed and implementation in accordance with the orders of the consumer (household).

Capacity of the new company designed to produce 400 thousand units of crop that will meet the needs of the sugar beet industry in the country of quality seeds by 30-35%. In the future we plan to expand the range of products through the selection, which will give an opportunity to reduce the import of seeds.

This plant will be one of the most competitive in the world market of seeds, — said, in the aggregate speech at the opening of the plant in Voronezh Governor Alexei Gordeev — To enter this area of the plant means the recovery of the market position of sugar beet seeds, and the ability to return the status of the All-Russian Center for seed production of this crop.

Investment in the company amounted to 550 million rubles. Most of them allocated JSC "Schyolkovo Agrokhim." The annual production of seeds in the Voronezh plant will be about 1.2 billion rubles a year.
