90 years ago, on 26-27 November 1920 launched an anti-Soviet uprising Slutskoe (lasted until December 28, 1920). 27 November each year is revered independent Belarusian society, as Heroes' Day in memory of Slutsk rebels.

With the compliments of the Day of the heroes of the Belarusians of the world by Chairman BNR Ivonka Survila:

"Dear compatriots,

On behalf of the Belarusian People's Republic of congratulations on the 90th anniversary of the uprising Slutsky, with our glorious Day of Heroes.

Sluchchane, as no one in our stories deserve to be called heroes. They had the courage and the courage to fight for the ideal of freedom for their land. Slutskoe rebellion remained forever in our memory, not because it was armed — sluchchane weapons had very little — but because ten thousand Belarusians decided to defend their country to the last. We were ready to give their lives to live Belarus Belarus.

A lot of us have gone through during those 90 years. We have a state, but it is still fragile and aggressive neighbor to the east can not wait for favorable circumstances, to re-capture it. Dear compatriots, I remember the example of our glorious ancestors. Together with the BNR Rada and with all who fight for freedom and independence, Budzma ready to defend our land. I believe that we will defend it at the beginning of this, XXI century, not with weapons, but our resolve and our solidarity. Prior to our strong sense of justice, our tolerance to insults and abuse, would be enough to add a bit of love and tolerance of one to the other and forget about their personal interests and ambitions, to overcome all the obstacles in our way to the commission of the ideals of our glorious sluchchan.

So help us God!

Long live Belarus! "
