Several departments of the Khabarovsk Territory seek the cause of the pungent odor in the air, people who complain of several areas of the city of Komsomolsk-on-Amur, Khabarovsk Territory, the site of the regional government.
This situation was discussed by the Commission for Emergencies. Representatives of RTN and other regulatory agencies were of the view that the alleged source of air pollution can stay in Komsomolsk refinery. Complaints began to arrive on July 13, immediately after the plant began commissioning a new installation delayed coking.
In this regard, the commission recommended the company to suspend work on the equipment.
