In Miass Chelyabinsk region by November 2011 will restore the two-century-old dam


In Miass (Chelyabinsk region) completed renovation of the old dam in the southern part of the city — large-scale work on its reconstruction began in May 2011 as part of the regional program to ensure the safety of hydraulic structures, 2011-2015.


Such large-scale changes in the waterworks Miassky city pond, built in the early 19th century, has never been carried out. Most recently, in the 50s, wooden reset was replaced by reinforced concrete. It is not surprising that the dam did not meet the standards for a long time, and even a threat.

In 2011, for the repair of a hydraulic structure has been allocated 12.8 million, with the bulk of the money sent from the regional budget to address the Chelyabinsk Region Governor Mikhail Yurevich.

Currently, major repairs completed: made a complete renovation of control mechanisms, installation of a retaining wall, the so-called abutments, which was supplanted by the roots of the adjacent poplar, installed new ledozaschitnoe construction and separation protective bull, which is required for equipment replacement valves, finished appearance and internal repairs to the pump room and facilities for lifting mechanisms.

In addition, there is a painting of new steel structures, along with the help of special equipment is made excavation for the installation site where the store will repair valves.

Also recovered improvement of the working site, including settling a footpath through the dam, which connects central and dammed section of the old city.
Work on the waterworks is in full swing, every day, so the contractor promises that by November this facility will be commissioned.
