Iraq will buy 24 Czech batch of combat-capable fighter aircraft Aero L-159 ALCA

Iraq agreed to acquire from the Czech Republic batch of 24 combat-capable fighter aircraft Aero L-159 ALCA. It is reported by with reference to Reuters.

Price of the transaction, according to a Ministry of Defence Czech Republic, could reach billions of dollars. With all of this the first four aircraft, disk imaging on the Iraqi side, Baghdad will receive free in the coming seven months.

Preparatory agreement to purchase the party L-159 Iraq was reached in 2010. Negotiations on the deal came with varying success. In addition to aircraft Czech Republic intended to offer Iraq a few programs to modernize weapons systems and simulators.

Buy Czech fighters held as part of replenishment programs from the Iraqi Air Force. In September 2010, Baghdad and Washington has ordered 18 fighters F-16IQ Fighting Falcon. Then the order was doubled. The first batch of U.S. aircraft Iraq should receive in September 2014.

On arms of Iraq at the present time are light attack aircraft Cessna AC-208 reconnaissance planes AMD Alarus CH2000, Beechcraft Super King Air 350 and Seabird Seeker ER SB7L-360A, transports Lockheed Martin C-130E, Cessna 208B and the King Air 350ER, training aircraft Utva Lasta 3 and 15 Hawker Beechcraft T-6A, as transport helicopters Mi-171E.

Cases of Washington and Baghdad soon soured. According to the views of the United States, Iraq allow Iran over its terrain stuff instrument Syria, where there is a plainclothes war.
